Job Description

Humanloop enables product teams to build robust agents and AI features with LLMs, using best-in-class tooling for Evaluation, Prompt Management, and Observability.

You'll get the chance to work really hard on a problem that matters alongside super-smart people. The environment is fast-paced with new features being shipped every week. The customers we get to work with are themselves inspiring AI startups and forward-thinking enterprises who are also trying to use this amazing new technology to build magical products and AI experiences.

Our principles:

We’re looking for a technical product marketer—someone who deeply understands AI, loves building with it, and can explain complex ideas in simple, compelling ways. You’ll be the voice of Humanloop to the outside world, helping developers, AI teams, and product leaders understand how our platform can help them ship better AI products.

This role sits at the intersection of engineering, product marketing, and developer relations.

  • Build with AI → Create prototypes, demos, and example applications that showcase Humanloop’s capabilities.

  • Tell the Story → Write compelling blog posts, tutorials, and case studies that help developers and AI teams understand Humanloop.

  • Educate and Engage → Run webinars, give conference talks, and produce video content to spread knowledge.

  • Shape the Developer Experience → Improve documentation, onboarding flows, and learning resources.

  • Talk to Customers → Understand their challenges, guide them in using Humanloop effectively, and feed insights back into product development.

  • Be the Public Face of Humanloop → Represent us in AI and engineering communities, both online and in person.

  • Experience in product marketing, developer relations, or technical content creation.

  • Experience building AI applications (e.g., LLM fine-tuning, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt engineering).

  • Technical & Product-Minded – You can write code and have built real AI-powered applications. You understand what makes a product great.

  • Clear Communicator – You write exceptionally well and can explain technical concepts simply. Bonus if you’ve published blog posts, given talks, or made video tutorials.

  • AI-Obsessed – You’re excited by the potential of LLMs and have experience building with them.

  • Charismatic & Engaging – You enjoy public speaking and community-building. You’d be comfortable running a webinar or speaking at a conference.

  • Founder-Like – You take initiative, work autonomously, and can wear multiple hats in a fast-moving startup. Nice to Have:

  • Open-source contributions, a technical blog, or past speaking engagements.

  • Impact & Visibility → You’ll shape how the world understands and adopts Humanloop.

  • Blend of Technical & Creative Work → You’ll code, write, speak, and engage with AI practitioners.

  • Startup Autonomy → A huge opportunity for ownership and influence in a fast-growing company.

  • Backend: Python (FastAPI, Postgres)

  • Frontend: TypeScript (React, Next.js, TailwindCSS)

  • Infrastructure: AWS

  • AI: Cutting-edge LLMs, RAG, and fine-tuning This role is in San Francisco.

We believe in the power of in-person collaboration. We work in our SoMa HQ but and have international offisites to bond across our two offices in London and San Francisco.

We’re looking for someone who can code, communicate, and market effectively. Our interview process reflects that:

  • Intro Call → Quick chat to understand your background and interest in the role.
  • Take-Home Challenge → Build a small AI-powered demo using Humanloop and present it to us.
  • Live Presentation → Walk us through your project and explain your approach.
  • System Design → A discussion on how you’d architect AI applications.
  • Culture & Fit → Final conversation to understand your experience, motivations, and ambitions. We aim to move fast—typically within two weeks from first chat to offer.

We’d love to hear from you. In your application, please respond to the following questions:

  • Are you able to work in the office 5 days a week in San Francisco?
  • Send a link to a piece of technical content you’ve written
  • Send a link to or tell us about something you’ve built We run a high-scale data service processing millions of AI generations daily, built with FastAPI (Python) on the backend and a data-intensive, visualization-heavy UI using TypeScript and React.

Our customers—AI teams at leading companies—expect top-tier performance, reliability, and intuitiveness. We aim to set the standard for design that enables product leaders and non-technical subject matter experts to seamlessly collaborate with developers on building AI.

We tailor our process to highlight your strengths—whether you come from a more technical or marketing background. Our goal is to find someone who can build with AI, explain complex ideas clearly, and engage with the broader community.

A short conversation to understand your background, interests, and fit for the role. We’ll cover:

  • Your experience in AI, technical marketing, or developer engagement.

  • How you like to work and what excites you about Humanloop.

  • High-level technical and storytelling ability (light discussion, no coding).

  • Practical details (timing, expectations, logistics). We’ll adapt this to your strengths:

  • If you’re more technical, we’ll discuss past projects, AI experience, and problem-solving approaches.

  • If you’re more marketing-focused, we’ll review your content (blogs, talks, demos) and assess how you explain technical concepts. You’ll build something using AI/Humanloop AND write it up. This is crucial because:

  • We want to see how you think and create with AI.

  • Clear, engaging writing is just as important as technical skill. The challenge will be scoped to take 3–4 hours, and you’ll have time to complete it at your own pace.

If the take-home goes well, we’ll invite you to meet the team in person. The day will include:

  • Presenting & Discussing Your Take-Home → Walk us through what you built, your technical and product decisions, and how you'd improve it.
  • Culture & Fit Deep Dive → A conversation about how you work, what drives you, and how you’d contribute at Humanloop.
  • Team Conversations → Get to know the people you’ll be working with, and ask us anything. We move fast—typically within two weeks from intro call to final decision. If you’re on a tight timeline, let us know, and we’ll try to accommodate.
