Biodata Workflow Manager (Remote) at Biodock

Advances in our technology translate directly to advances in disease understanding and treatment. We give our product for free to academic scientists as part of our mission to accelerate research around the world.

Biodock runs AI bioanalysis in the cloud, allowing scientists to accelerate R&D on the most promising new therapeutics. You'll help academic and enterprise scientists get to great results by supporting them throughout their journey to trained AI.

Main responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate data labelers, giving feedback and instructions to labelers to help get the best quality data for our users.

• Lead users to better AI training outcomes by suggesting labeling best practices, and approving and rejecting pipelines Secondary responsibilities

• Build use case examples and expand our documentation to support our users

• Answer customer questions

• You need to have a bio background. Microscopy experiences and working with microscopy images are preferred.

• You're a great writer and interested in ML / AI

• You are an independent worker and take ownership of your job responsibilities.

• You're flexible, trustworthy, energetic, and a great communicator Bonus points but not required

• Graduate school experience in biology/laboratories Our tech-stack is a modern web and AI backend stack

Web (this role): React, Apollo GraphQL, Typescript, Mongo, Node, TailwindCSS We also use: Docker, Terraform, Redis, AWS, Serverless. On our backend, we primarily use typed scientific Python (Numpy), Pytorch.

Our interview process is very quick for this position:

• You'll hop on a 30-minute call with a founder as a first screen, where we'll ask about your background and discuss the company. We're mostly looking to see who you are, but this will also include some basic questions about biology/lab experimentation. You need to know what supervised AI learning is and how it works. No need to know the technical details of AI/ML.
• We'll give you a few images to evaluate and ask you to label the objects of interest. You need to know all of these microscopy images and the different techniques used to acquire these images. We might ask you to train an AI model during the interview or at home using the Biodock platform.
• We may have a final short interview for some candidates. Then we'll give you a yes/no on the job offer!
