DESCRIPTION:
Amazon's Transportation Operations Management (TOM) team is seeking an analytical and customer-obsessed Business Analyst to transform complex operational data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making. You will partner with cross-functional teams to optimize yard operations, improve infrastructure planning, and enhance the overall transportation network efficiency through data-driven solutions.<br><br>Key job responsibilities<br>• Build and maintain automated reporting systems and dashboards using TOM's data infrastructure (QuickSight, internal tools) to monitor KPIs and drive operational improvements <br>• Partner with key stakeholders (Operations, Planning, Training, Yard, Driving, Gate/Tech, Products etc.) to develop metrics, reporting solutions and process improvements that align with business objectives. <br>• Design and implement scalable analytics solutions focused on yard design, launch planning, and future transportation infrastructure concepts <br>• Leverage TOM's unified data platform to create single source of truth datasets and insights that support strategic planning and operational excellence <br>• Lead requirements gathering sessions and translate business needs into technical specifications for analytics solutions <br>• Develop and maintain documentation of analytical processes, metrics definitions, and standard operating procedures <br>• Present data-driven recommendations to stakeholders and senior leadership to influence strategic decisions <br>• Create analytical frameworks and roadmaps that enable the team to scale analytics capabilities alongside business growth<br>
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience<br>- Bachelor's degree or equivalent<br>- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights<br>- 5+ years of Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables) experience<br>- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools<br>- Experience with SQL<br>- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

The base pay for this position ranges from $66,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $143,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
