The Business Development Representative at Tavus plays a key role in driving top-of-funnel growth by leading outbound outreach across multiple channels and representing the company at industry events. This role involves identifying and targeting high-potential accounts, collaborating closely with AEs, and sharing field insights to improve messaging, processes, and product direction.
Partner with AEs to run strategic outbound plays and help qualify new opportunities
Refine messaging based on what you’re hearing in the field and contribute ideas to improve outreach performance
Maintain accurate records in the CRM and contribute to ongoing improvements in reporting and process
Share field intelligence with marketing and product to help shape positioning and roadmap
1–2 years in a BDR, SDR, or event-driven sales role (startup or SaaS experience preferred)
Strong verbal and written communication skills — you can hold your own in a conversation with technical and non-technical buyers alike
Experience attending, organizing, or working conferences, events, or trade shows
Passion for AI, startups, and emerging technology
Highly organized, self-motivated, and excited to build processes from the ground up
Comfortable with outbound tools like HubSpot, Apollo, or Clay (or eager to learn quickly!)
Willingness to travel for events and be based in San Francisco (this is an in-person role)
Experience prospecting technical buyers (Dev Tools, APIs, ML/AI products)
A creative approach to outbound — memes, video, or anything else that stands out
