Business Intelligence Engineer Manager, JP Science and Data

DESCRIPTION: Amazon is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Engineering Manager to lead a diverse team of Business Intelligence Engineers, Data Engineers, and Machine Learning Engineers in building scalable data and analytics solutions for Amazon's largest vendor partnerships. This role will be instrumental in shaping the future of Amazon's Paid Services platform, driving data-driven decision making, and delivering actionable insights that transform vendor relationships worldwide.<br><br>As the BI Engineering Manager, you will lead a cross-functional team responsible for developing and maintaining robust data infrastructure, analytics solutions, and machine learning platforms that serve hundreds of Amazon's key vendors. You will drive technical excellence while fostering an inclusive team culture that promotes innovation and continuous learning.<br><br>Key job responsibilities<br>(1) Lead and mentor a team of Business Intelligence Engineers, Data Engineers, and Machine Learning Engineers, providing technical guidance and career development support<br>(2) Partner with Product Management to define and execute the technical vision for next-generation vendor analytics and paid services<br>(3) Drive the architecture and implementation of scalable data solutions utilizing AWS services and internal Amazon tools<br>(4) Establish best practices for data engineering, analytics, and machine learning operations across the team<br>(5) Oversee the development of automated data pipelines, self-service analytics platforms, and ML infrastructure<br>(6) Ensure high standards for data quality, reliability, and accessibility across all team deliverables<br>(7) Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, business partners, and cross-functional teams<br>(8) Drive technical innovation while maintaining operational excellence and team productivity<br><br><br>About the team<br>In this position, you will be part of the JP Science and Data team, consisting of scientists, business intelligence engineers, data engineers, and machine learning engineers, collaborating with Product Managers and Software Developers worldwide. Our current projects touch on the areas of causal inference, representation learning, anomaly detection, forecasting, LLMs and more. As part of working on Paid Services, you will be exposed to all other projects the team works on: we believe that collaboration is paramount, and working in isolation does not lead to a happy team.<br>We place strong emphasis on continuous learning through internal mechanisms for our team members to keep on growing their expertise and keep up with the state of the art. Our goal is to be primary science team for vendor solutions in Amazon, worldwide. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• 7+ years of business intelligence and analytics experience<br>- 5+ years of delivering results managing a business intelligence or analytics team, including employee development and performance management experience<br>- Experience with SQL<br>- Experience with ETL<br>- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools<br>- Experience with R, Python, Weka, SAS, Matlab or other statistical/machine learning software PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
