<h3>πŸ“‹ Description</h3> β€’ Ledgebrook is an InsurTech MGA on a mission to bring Specialty insurance into the modern era. β€’ Our long-term vision is to become a diversified full stack Specialty re/insurer competing with legacy carriers in product lines & markets across the globe. β€’ To succeed in modernizing the industry, we must first succeed in changing the way we do business. β€’ We’re looking for a talented Data Engineer to help us solve the complex, technical challenges of a changing insurance landscape. β€’ Partner with leadership, engineers, underwriters, and actuaries to understand data requirements. β€’ Design, develop and deploy a scalable modern data stack to support business objectives. β€’ Build a data-driven culture throughout the organization. β€’ A passion to deliver a world-class customer service experience to both internal and external customer. β€’ Agile prioritization skills coupled with a keen sense of urgency. <h3>🎯 Requirements</h3> β€’ Must haves β€’ 4+ years of experience in data engineering, with a track record of designing and managing complex data systems. β€’ Ability to facilitate and gather business requirements and come up with scalable engineering solutions β€’ Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience managing and leading teams of data engineers. β€’ Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases. β€’ Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing. β€’ Strong understanding of data governance and security best practices. β€’ Experience with cloud computing solutions such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. β€’ Experience with cloud data solutions such Snowflake, Databricks, and Big Query β€’ Nice to haves β€’ Prior startup experience β€’ Experience with data transformation tools like dbt β€’ Experience with data integration tools like Fivetran and Hevo β€’ Experience with data orchestration tools like Prefect and AIrflow β€’ Experience solving insurance industry / domain related challenges β€’ Understanding of data security and user data privacy regulations β€’ Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Looker) β€’ Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn. β€’ Degree in computer science, data science, or a related field. β€’ Strong experience with data analytics, statistics, and data science concepts. <h3>πŸ–οΈ Benefits</h3> β€’ Competitive salary and meaningful equity ownership β€’ Ownership, autonomy, purpose β€’ Remote work, flexible hours β€’ Unlimited time off policy β€’ Health Insurance, dental, vision & other options β€’ 401k plan
