BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1+ years of data engineering experience<br>- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines<br>- Experience with one or more query language (e.g., SQL, PL/SQL, DDL, MDX, HiveQL, SparkSQL, Scala)<br>- Experience with one or more scripting language (e.g., Python, KornShell)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience as a data engineer or related specialty (e.g., software engineer, business intelligence engineer, data scientist) with a track record of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large datasets<br>- Experience with big data processing technology (e.g., Hadoop or ApacheSpark), data warehouse technical architecture, infrastructure components, ETL, and reporting/analytic tools and environments<br>- Knowledge of basics of designing and implementing a data schema like normalization, relational model vs dimensional model<br>- Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions<br>- Experience with any ETL tool like, Informatica, ODI, SSIS, BODI, Datastage, etc.<br><br>Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.<br><br>Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. The base pay for this position ranges from $91,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
