Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is an incredible opportunity to be the first field engineer at Shinkei, getting in at the ground floor of a fast-paced robotics startup. You will play a crucial role in deploying and maintaining our cutting-edge robotic systems at fishing docks across the United States, with potential for long-term international travel. This role involves extensive hands-on work with electro-mechanical assemblies, electronics, and software.
Field Engineering Team: Covers Manufacturing, Integration, Test, and Field work. This is an EXTREMELY hands on engineering role where you have the chance to build, test, and repair linear actuators, electric motors, PCBS, harnessing, plumbing, and structural joints.

Required:
A strong excitement about weekly travel to US fishing ports for hands-on engineering.
1+ years of experience working with electro-mechanical assemblies
High proficiency with power tools and standard industrial manufacturing machinery.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in the field.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Willingness to travel extensively and adapt to various working environments. Desired:
3+ years of experience working with electro-mechanical assemblies
Experience with software and comfortable using Linux and command line interface (CLI) tools.
Experience with automotive, consumer electronics, or industrial crimp tooling.
