Job Description

<h3>📋 Description</h3> • As a FinOps Data Analyst focused on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), you will become the central point of accountability and insight for our cloud-related financial operations. • Your role will be instrumental in understanding how and where our cloud budgets are spent - spanning across products, services, projects, and teams. • You will collaborate closely with engineering stakeholders to dissect cost data, ensure transparency, and create accurate forecasts. • Your day-to-day will involve identifying spending patterns, ensuring cost allocation accuracy, and delivering actionable insights to support informed decision-making. • You’ll be expected to proactively suggest improvements to cost efficiency, architecture choices, and operational practices, with a strong emphasis on tools like BigQuery and Looker. • Ultimately, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our GCP usage remains optimized, predictable, and aligned with business objectives. <h3>🎯 Requirements</h3> • Strong analytical and financial modeling abilities in cloud environments • Deep understanding of the GCP billing structure and resource pricing • Ability to translate complex technical usage into business-relevant financial insights • Comfort presenting findings to both technical and non-technical audiences • A proactive mindset for identifying inefficiencies and optimization opportunities • At least 4 years of experience in cloud cost analytics, financial planning, data analysis, or a related field • Proven hands-on experience working with at least one major cloud provider (e.g., GCP, AWS, or Azure), particularly with cost control, billing structures, and resource tracking • Strong understanding of cloud cost models, billing reports, and pricing mechanisms • Proficiency in SQL and working with large-scale datasets • Experience analyzing cloud usage and spend patterns across multiple projects or environments • Ability to produce clear cost breakdowns and actionable recommendations • Background in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field • Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking in cloud contexts • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration <h3>🏖️ Benefits</h3> • Competitive Compensation: We offer an attractive salary package with significant growth opportunities • Cutting-edge Technology: Engage with the latest technologies on large-scale, dynamic projects • Wellbeing: extremely flexible conditions - contribute when it is convenient for you and devote as much time as you can; Remote-first environment • Purpose-Driven Role: being at the heart of the system, your growing knowledge and competencies will be used in practical applications directly connected to business results
