Helium is building self-improving software. We previously led AI & Growth teams at Uber, Meta, and Amazon, and we saw how long it takes to go from idea to experiment for these large companies. We’re building Helium to automate the end-to-end process of generating and experimenting on new in-app experiences. We’re starting by automating generating onboarding flows for consumer apps, then will expand into other experiences across the app. We work with some of the largest, fastest-growing consumer apps, serving Helium experiences to millions of users worldwide. 🔴 Note 🔴 This is a full-time, in-person role based in San Francisco - we work from the office 6 days a week (Mon-Sat) You must be based in the Bay Area or willing to relocate before starting. We’re looking for full-stack talent that can help support our work on our frontend application and backend server stack. Specifically: Make contributions to a Next.js App, improving the frontend components, improving latency and data fetching, and making necessary database/API improvements on the backend. Build features with minimal supervision Creating tests, for both frontend and backend operations. Creating UI tests that can test the functionality of UI components using Pupeteer or Playwright Work directly with the founders on building the future of continuously improving software Make contributions to a Next.js App, improving the frontend components, improving latency and data fetching, and making necessary database/API improvements on the backend. We’re still a small team, and the product is early — you won’t just be building features; you’ll help shape the trajectory of the company and the future of AI development. You have 4+ years of engineering experience, with a strong track record of shipping real products. You’ve built and owned complex full-stack systems end to end, not just small pieces. You’re comfortable with ambiguity, unblock yourself, and make progress without waiting on perfect specs. You enjoy working in a fast-paced, high-trust startup environment and like wearing multiple hats. You’ve worked with our stack (See below) You have 4+ years of engineering experience, with a strong track record of shipping real products.
