Founding Fullstack Engineer, Fira

At Fira, we create the best financial AI agent to automate work in financial service firms. Our goal is to build the best LLM-based product that is tailored for financial analysis workflows, integrated into company's knowledge, and securely deployed. Alexey and I (Alex) are both second-time technical founders, with Alexey having a successful exit. We recently went through the winter Y Combinator batch, raised funding, and already have one of the best products. We're seeing strong demand for Fira and actively hiring first employees to leverage the momentum. As our first full-time engineer, you'll take full responsibility over Fira web app that brings our financial AI agent to users. You'll own the entire user experience from intuitive interfaces that make complex AI accessible, to robust backend systems behind our agent. Working closely with founders and our AI engineer, you'll bridge cutting-edge agentic LLM technology and the financial analysts who depend on it daily. What you’ll do Ship end‑to‑end product features in our web app Develop robust backend for frontend, including integration with our AI microservices Own quality and stability of our app and backend Prototype and design UI for new features Collaborate and help our AI engineer with data processing and agentic LLM tasks in Python What we’re looking for Strong frontend software engineer with fluency in TypeScript, Next.js and React Ability to design and prototype interfaces that are simple yet great in CSS and Tailwind Strong backend expertise, including Postgres, Redis, AWS, background jobs Track record of shipping new features with high velocity A daily LLM user in both coding and life Curiosity to learn and understand financial analyst’s workflows Why join us Salary range £80,000 to £120,000 with 0.5-2.5% equity ownership A lot of autonomy on tech decisions and architecture Work with us in person 3-5 days a week from a London office (helping to relocate) Best health insurance (soon)
