Founding Software Engineer (Frontend) at Workflow86

We’re on a mission to translate the 99% of operational knowledge and expertise held by non-technical teams into massively scalable software. Our no-code platform empowers teams to document, automate, and orchestrate their business processes and playbooks—using a visual drag-and-drop interface.

As our Founding Engineer (Frontend), you’ll dive headfirst into building and scaling a highly technical and impactful product. You will:

• Take the lead on front-end architecture, setting the standard for code quality, performance, and usability.
• Work with a variety of UI libraries to craft beautiful, efficient, and reusable components (e.g., Material UI, Chakra UI, Bootstrap, Tailwind, or custom systems).
• Collaborate with a small, agile team (including junior engineers) to iterate on product ideas, from early prototypes to production releases.
• Define and uphold best practices in front-end development, including code reviews, testing strategies, and design system consistency.
• Push boundaries by experimenting with new technologies, frameworks, and design patterns in a fast-paced startup environment.
• 3+ years of experience building modern frontend applications with React.js (Redux or MobX), including practical knowledge of popular UI libraries.
• A strong foundation in UI/UX principles, with a proven ability to create responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces.
• Familiarity with design systems (e.g., Storybook) or a track record of helping teams build and maintain UI consistency.
• Ability to thrive in an environment that encourages rapid iteration and creative problem-solving.
• Excellent communication skills and a history of collaborating with cross-functional teams (including mentorship of junior engineers).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of commercial software engineering experience (preferably in frontend-heavy roles).
