Role Overview: As an IoT Engineer, you will play a vital role in deploying and maintaining our AI-driven HVAC solutions onsite. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that our equipment is properly installed, well-maintained, and functioning effectively. You will address client concerns, perform onsite repairs, and coordinate closely with our software and technical teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software. This role also involves testing and validating our in-house apps and software to ensure optimal performance. We are looking for a Junior IoT Engineer who is passionate about IoT technology, enjoys problem-solving, and thrives in a collaborative environment. Your work will contribute directly to creating sustainable solutions that enhance system performance, improve energy efficiency, and deliver value to our clients. Key Responsibilities: ● IoT System Development: ○ Design, develop, and test IoT applications for connected HVAC systems. ○ Write and maintain software in Python, C, or C++ for IoT devices and edge computing. ● Device Integration: ○ Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate sensors, actuators, and other peripherals into IoT systems. ○ Address operating system-level tasks, including driver/kernel development and hardware-software interfacing. ● Communication Protocols: ○ Implement and optimize IoT communication protocols like MQTT, HTTP, and CoAP. ○ Ensure secure and efficient data transmission between IoT devices and cloud or on-premises systems. ● System Monitoring & Troubleshooting: ○ Debug and resolve hardware and software issues, including network communication problems and memory leaks. ○ Monitor and maintain IoT systems to ensure high availability and scalability. ● Collaboration & Documentation: ○ Work closely with software developers, hardware engineers, and AI specialists to develop integrated solutions. ○ Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for IoT systems, protocols, and configurations. Requirements: ● Education: ○ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. ● Technical Skills: ○ Proficiency in programming languages like Python, C, C++. ○ Familiarity with IoT communication protocols (e.g., MQTT, HTTP, BLE) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS IoT, Azure IoT). ○ Experience with Linux systems, Docker, and embedded programming. ○ Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/UDP) and debugging tools (e.g., GDB, tcpdump, valgrind). ● Problem-Solving: ○ Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve IoT system issues. ● Soft Skills: ○ Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, dynamic environment. ○ Eagerness to learn and stay updated on new IoT technologies and industry trends.
