Robotics Software Engineer

We are building autonomous surgical robots to drastically shorten the learning curve for surgeons. This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Robotics Controls Engineer at Andromeda Surgical located in South San Francisco, CA. The person in this role will be responsible for developing and implementing controls and motion planning for our robotic platform. Qualifications Control systems Strong software development skills Autonomous vehicles experience a plus Strong Communication skills Experience in Robotics Engineering or related field Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field Knowledge of surgical robotics systems is a plus Ability to work in a team and independently We are using off the shelf robot hardware and building controls, planning, ML algorithms to take high level guidance from surgeons and execute surgical steps faster and with more precision than the surgeon themselves. This requires low latency and high accuracy planning and controls, computer vision for anatomical landmark detection, building intuitive user interface for the surgeons to issues commands from.
