Internship Overview As a Software Engineer Intern at Theneo, you’ll dive into the world of backend services, API design, and cloud-based infrastructures. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of a platform at the cutting edge of technological advancement. You’ll work alongside our experienced engineering team, gaining invaluable hands-on experience and mentorship in a dynamic and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities Assist in architecting, designing, and implementing backend services including our core API and backend data processing. Contribute to the end-to-end delivery of software, from conceptual design through to deployment and monitoring in a production environment. Participate in instrumenting, testing, and profiling our software to ensure high standards of quality. Gain exposure to continuous deployment practices and our cloud-based infrastructure. Learn to scale software infrastructure to meet the demands of a rapidly growing user base. What We’re Looking For Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A foundational understanding of backend development concepts and technologies (experience with Typescript, Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, React, or Python is a plus). An eagerness to learn about building backend APIs and services in a team setting. A creative problem solver passionate about testing, debugging, and code quality. A data-driven individual with a willingness to take risks, fail fast, and iterate quickly. Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
