Staff Machine Learning Scientist

<h3>📋 Description</h3> • FutureFit AI is looking for a Staff Machine Learning Scientist to join our team! • You will play a key role in designing and shaping our data science products, including our recommenders and data ontology. • 70% of your time will be dedicated to improving our recommendation engine • 20% of your time will be spent building out our data ontologies that power the recommendation engine • 10% of your time will function as a strategic partner to the VP of Data and Product; re-thinking our recommender architecture and optimizing how we use industry data. • This role reports directly to Katya Simpson, our VP of Product and AI. • Own problem spaces from 0 to 1. This starts with defining product requirements with stakeholders to maintaining your products. • Set the standard for high-quality recommender science. • Uphold best practices in data science and machine learning. <h3>🎯 Requirements</h3> • Proven experience with recommendation engines, including cold-start scenarios • Classical machine learning expertise • Data ETL experience: experience with Airflow, DBT or similar • Familiarity with modeling both structured and unstructured data from NoSQL databases such as MongoDB • Proven ability to translate vague problems into actionable insights for the business • Strong communication skills to present actionable insights to stakeholders with varying levels of technical expertise • Experience with production-grade NLP (using LLMs) <h3>🏖️ Benefits</h3> • Work directly with the founding team • Unlimited PTO • Health care • 401(K) for US team members • Career Development Budget • Technology reimbursement • Flexible schedules built on trust
