About Scispot: Scispot is building the world’s first AI scientist for labs. This intelligent agent connects directly to instruments—like HPLC systems, sequencers, and plate readers. It pulls raw data, then cleans, normalizes, and calibrates it. Next, it tags each result with experiment metadata and runs QA checks. We’re on the hunt for a Founding Technical Product Lead—a scrappy, technical wizard to join our small, high-octane team. You’ll code, shape our biology workflows, tackle UX challenges, and ensure our AI agents are unstoppable. What You’ll Do (and Own): 40% QA & AI Agent Evals: Design and run bulletproof evaluation pipelines for our AI agents and platform to ensure they’re production-ready. You’ll automate QA processes, squash edge cases, and keep our systems razor-sharp. 30% Biology Workflow Ownership: Lead the charge on turning biotech needs into slick, scalable, AI-powered workflows. You’ll bridge biology and tech, nailing UX and collaborating with our team to ship features that redefine lab work. 30% Hands-On Coding: Dive into React, JavaScript, Python, and Java to build features, optimize performance, and tackle UX challenges. Our tech stack comprises a Next.js frontend web app. On the backend, we use a NoSQL database (AWS DynamoDB) which is fronted by a GraphQL database abstraction API layer. We also use AWS Lambda as the middleware for our platform. To manage our user authentication, authorization and signups, we use AWS Cognito in combination with AWS IAM.
