<h3>πŸ“‹ Description</h3> β€’ The Data Operations and Automations Analyst plays a critical role in managing, processing, and ensuring the integrity of large data sets within the energy sector. β€’ This position involves data migration, acquisition, validation, and the development of automated tools and custom software solutions to enhance operational efficiency. β€’ The role requires close collaboration with internal teams, clients, and third-party providers to deliver accurate reporting, billing, and data-driven insights that support business objectives. β€’ The role also contributes to process documentation and continuous improvement initiatives. β€’ Data migration: Required when onboarding new major clients with high volumes of data. This requires data to be organised, categorised, converted to the correct format, cleaned, and uploaded to the company systems. Also requires collaboration with other teams and BDMs. β€’ Sourcing data: Deal directly with clients, metering providers, and third parties to request data and escalate data-related requests. β€’ Bulk data downloads: Use third-party software, tools, and APIs to download data. β€’ Converting and uploading data: Convert data to appropriate formats and upload to internal systems. β€’ Reviewing bulk data: Check data for gaps, duplication, overlaps, and consistency, especially after bulk data migration. β€’ Bill and report generation: Use and improve existing templates and tools to gather source data and generate utility bills and reports for tenants and clients. β€’ Development (including coding) of new tools and templates as required: This may include templates/tools for reports, queries, Excel templates, Macros, etc. β€’ Documentation: Maintain clear documentation for developed tools, processes, and software. Produce user manuals and technical guides as needed. β€’ Analytical support: Assist in forecasting, accruals, tariff analysis, data verifications, and billing-related tasks. <h3>🎯 Requirements</h3> β€’ Bachelor’s degree in IT, Data Analytics, Software Engineering, Engineering, or a related analytical discipline. β€’ Minimum of 5 years of experience in data operations, analysis and automation or in a similar role. β€’ Advanced proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using advanced Excel. β€’ Skilled in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms (e.g., R). β€’ Competence in scripting or programming with Python or R for data cleaning, analysis, and process automation. β€’ Experience with automation using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) to control Excel, Word, and Outlook. β€’ Familiarity with relational databases and query languages, particularly SQL. β€’ Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, accuracy, and effective problem-solving. β€’ Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, adaptable to independent and team environments. β€’ Proven time management, prioritisation, and a solutions-focused, professional work ethic. β€’ Previous work experience in the Australian energy or finance industry highly desired. <h3>πŸ–οΈ Benefits</h3> β€’ Work from home β€’ Monday to Friday 7:00β€―AM – 4:00β€―PM PHT (adjustments will be made for daylight saving time) β€’ Opportunities to work with leading companies in Australia and beyond β€’ Comprehensive HMO and government-mandated benefits β€’ Training programmes for career development β€’ Engaging company outings, team activities and wellness sessions β€’ Supportive, inclusive culture β€’ Dedicated managers focused on your growth and success
