Job Description
<h3>π Description</h3> β’ Design, build, and maintain complex, high-performance data pipelines in Snowflake
β’ Implement advanced Snowflake features such as tasks, streams, materialized views, and secure data sharing
β’ Perform basic ETL/ELT operations, ensuring data integrity and quality
β’ Support integration between internal systems, provider networks, and external platforms
β’ Write and optimize SQL queries for reporting and analytics
β’ Develop and maintain scalable dimensional and data vault models in Snowflake, leveraging best practices for performance and cost optimization
β’ Create reusable data products and views in Snowflake to support enterprise analytics in Power BI and other tools
β’ Collaborate with analysts to prepare datasets for reporting and dashboarding
β’ Support documentation of data models and processes
β’ Data Governance & Quality
β’ Apply basic data quality checks, validation rules, and monitoring processes
β’ Implement Snowflake role-based access control (RBAC), masking policies, and data classification to ensure compliance
β’ Support security and compliance standards, including HIPAA data handling guidelines
β’ DevOps & Version Control
β’ Use Azure DevOps to manage code and deployment scripts
β’ Implement CI/CD for Snowflake objects and pipelines using Git-based workflows
β’ Participate in code reviews and follow best practices for clean, maintainable code
β’ Collaboration & Learning
β’ Work with senior engineers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
β’ Participate in training to expand skills in cloud data engineering <h3>π― Requirements</h3> β’ Advanced proficiency in SQL, with Snowflake-specific syntax and optimization skills
β’ Proven experience with Snowflake performance tuning, query profiling, and cost management
β’ Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and cloud data architectures
β’ Familiarity with Azure Data Services, Snowflake, and Power BI is a must
β’ Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
β’ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
β’ Excellent communication and teamwork skills
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent experience
β’ 3-5 years of experience in data engineering, database development, or similar role (internships included)
β’ 3+ years of hands-on experience in Snowflake development and administration
