We’ve proudly planned events ranging from Amazon’s intimate executive dinners in New York, to Quantstamp’s product launch in Turkey, to Google’s offsite at Universal. Within the first 6 months of launching, Nowadays has experienced exponential growth, growing from $0 to $2M in booked revenue from customers including Amazon, Google, and Notion.

Nowadays’ leadership team is comprised of talented MIT software engineering graduates as well as prestigious backgrounds including Google, Meta, Amazon, Doordash, and McKinsey.

As a Founding Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our tech, product, and culture — and in building the future of how people gather.

• Own and expand our Next.js and Supabase apps

• Grow and refine our 400K+ venue and vendor database

• Build systems that automate sourcing, contracting, negotiation, and payments with AI

• Manage full-stack development and ship end-to-end features — fast

• Continuously experiment and iterate on AI models and automation flows

• Experience in full-stack development (React, TypeScript, Python)

• Confidence in shipping end-to-end products quickly and independently

• A strong bias for action and a resourceful, do-what-it-takes mindset

• Passion for using AI to transform event planning and help people connect meaningfully

• Comfort with ambiguity and rapid change — you adapt fast and stay focused

• Willingness to dive into the manual parts of event planning to deeply understand the problems and build better tools

• Working Times: US (PST) Hours

• Must be based in San Francisco

• $110K-$170K

• 0.5% - 2% equity The amount listed above is the expected annual base salary for this role, subject to change.
