Paratus Health is building the AI-powered operations layer for outpatient clinics: agents that handle calls, intake, insurance, and documentation, fully integrated with EHRs like Epic and Athena.

We’re backed by Y Combinator and investors behind GitHub, Notion, and Vanta. We’re already live in hospitals (including Stanford), saving 8+ minutes per patient interaction and earning 90%+ satisfaction. Now, we’re scaling.

We’re looking for a Founding Engineer to help us architect and scale the future of healthcare automation. You'll be an early technical leader, working closely with the founders to ship products end-to-end, from AI voice agents to insurance verification and EHR integrations.

This is not just a job, it’s a chance to build something meaningful from the ground up.

• Own critical parts of the stack: AI voice agents, backend infra, EHR integrations
• Build and ship fast - LLMs, pipelines, real-time systems
• Work directly with clinics to prototype and launch
• Set engineering direction and technical standards
• Contribute to a high-trust, high-speed team culture
• Have 2–4 years of experience in fast-paced startups
• Are a fullstack or backend-leaning engineer (75/25 split)
• Know TypeScript, Node.js, AWS, and ideally LLMs (RAG + finetuning)
• Can thrive in ambiguity and build 0→1
• Bonus: experience with healthtech, EHRs, or voice/audio agents
• Ownership: Meaningful equity and first engineer outside the founders
• Product impact: Your work directly improves clinical outcomes
• Fast feedback loop: You’ll ship to live clinics in week 1
