About the Role: Founding Engineer (Frontend) As our Founding Engineer (Frontend), you’ll dive headfirst into building and scaling a highly technical and impactful product. You will: Take the lead on front-end architecture, setting the standard for code quality, performance, and usability. Work with a variety of UI libraries to craft beautiful, efficient, and reusable components (e.g., Material UI, Chakra UI, Bootstrap, Tailwind, or custom systems). Collaborate with a small, agile team (including junior engineers) to iterate on product ideas, from early prototypes to production releases. Define and uphold best practices in front-end development, including code reviews, testing strategies, and design system consistency. Push boundaries by experimenting with new technologies, frameworks, and design patterns in a fast-paced startup environment. We’d Like to See 3+ years of experience building modern frontend applications with React.js (Redux or MobX), including practical knowledge of popular UI libraries. A strong foundation in UI/UX principles, with a proven ability to create responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces. Familiarity with design systems (e.g., Storybook) or a track record of helping teams build and maintain UI consistency. Ability to thrive in an environment that encourages rapid iteration and creative problem-solving. Excellent communication skills and a history of collaborating with cross-functional teams (including mentorship of junior engineers). 3+ years of experience building modern frontend applications with React.js (Redux or MobX), including practical knowledge of popular UI libraries.
