We're hiring a Principal Software Engineer who is a do-er, a builder, and a systems thinker — someone who has previously architected and scaled high-throughput enterprise developer platforms (e.g., Twilio, Postman, Segment, Stripe).

This role is critical to building the infra-first backbone of our real-time voice engine, developer tooling, and next-gen orchestration platform. You will be hands-on and deeply involved in everything from code to system design to product vision.

• Architect, build, and scale real-time systems for telephony, WebRTC, audio streaming, and AI orchestration
• Design developer-facing infrastructure and APIs that are robust, scalable, and intuitive
• Collaborate directly with founders on platform vision, core architecture, and GTM alignment
• Own performance, latency, reliability, and compliance across voice infrastructure
• Work across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments — banking-level security and scalability
• Lead and mentor a high-caliber team of backend and infra engineers
• Languages: Go, Rust, TypeScript, Python
• Infra: AWS, GCP, DigitalOcean, Kubernetes, Pulumi, Fly.io
• Voice & Media: SIP, RTP, WebRTC, Livekit, Janus, Twilio
• LLMs: OpenAI, Fine-tuned local models (vLLM, SNAC, Whisper)
• Eventing & Workflow: Temporal, NATS, RabbitMQ
• Security & Compliance: SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA-focused infrastructure
• BONUS (immediate shortlisting): if you are certified in CKA or CKS
• 8+ years of hands-on backend or infra experience
• Previously built or scaled developer platforms (SDKs, APIs, real-time infra)
• Deep understanding of WebRTC, telephony, or media streaming systems
• Comfortable with distributed systems, concurrency, and large-scale event-driven architecture
• Systems-level thinker who cares about execution, speed, and impact
• Strong product sense — you care about what you're building, not just how
• Based in (or willing to relocate to) Bangalore or San Francisco for in-person work
