Job Description

<h3>πŸ“‹ Description</h3> β€’ Deliver insights to help our clients turn data into action as a Senior Data Scientist at GDIT. β€’ Perform scientific work to collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets. β€’ Use large data sets to find opportunities for product and process optimization. β€’ Use models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action. β€’ Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, efficiencies, process improvements, and other business outcomes. β€’ Mine and analyze data using a variety of data tools. β€’ Build and implement models using/creating algorithms and creating/running simulations. β€’ Develop processes and machine learning-based tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy. β€’ Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques. β€’ Drive business results with data-based insights. β€’ Ability to work independently and troubleshoot challenges β€’ Communicate analytic findings and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders, verbally and through written reports β€’ Provide support in capturing and defining any requirements for the deliverables/ solutions for the projects under this contract. β€’ Provide expertise and implementation support for projects in data science, predictive analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. <h3>🎯 Requirements</h3> β€’ 5+ years of related experience β€’ Bachelor's Degree in data science, or related field β€’ Proven experience developing machine learning models and engineering features using Python, PySpark, SQL, R, Databricks, Machine learning with regularization models (especially LASSO), and other packages in Amazon SageMaker β€’ Able to create complex queries in SQL for testing and data analysis β€’ Experience developing ML pipelines and with ML Operations β€’ Experience with MLFlow, GitHub, Docker β€’ Must be able to work with engineering teams to source the right data, evaluate system performance β€’ Logistic regression β€’ Well-versed in statistical theory β€’ Generalized estimating equations <h3>πŸ–οΈ Benefits</h3> β€’ Medical plan options, some with Health Savings Accounts (HSA) β€’ Dental plan options β€’ Vision plan β€’ 401(k) plan with company match β€’ Full-flex work weeks β€’ Paid time off: vacation, sick and personal time, holidays, paid parental, military, bereavement and jury duty leave β€’ 15 days of paid leave per calendar year; 10 paid holidays per year β€’ Paid leave and holidays prorated based on date of hire β€’ Paid Family Leave: up to 160 hours in a rolling 12-month period β€’ Short and long-term disability benefits β€’ Life, accidental death and dismemberment, personal accident β€’ Critical illness and business travel and accident insurance β€’ Company-wide Total Rewards package updates and competitive offerings
