About the Role We're looking for an "insanely cracked engineer" to join our engineering team (currently 7 teammates). We're looking for someone who is an all-rounder, but has particularly exceptional backend engineering skills. Our ideal candidate has built AI agents and leveraged clever engineering techniques to improve latency & reliability for complex workflows. This role will be in person working with the 2 founders 6 days per week, so safe to say you will get close! If you are a go-getter and have the intensity it takes to win, this role could be for you. Responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to build state-of-the-art AI agents across several modalities. You will be horizontal across our engineering team, experimenting and implementing novel engineering techniques to improve performance and reliability of various AI agents. You'll get to wear many hats. Your responsibilities will fall into 3 categories: AI Engineering Develop AI agents with a high bar for reliability and performance. Build SOTA LLM-powered tools for providers, practices, and patients. Architect our data annotation, fine tuning, and RLHF workflows. Live on the bleeding-edge ensuring that every week, we have the most cutting edge agents as the industry evolves. Full-Stack Engineering (80% backend, 20% frontend) Lead the team in designing scalable architecture to support performant web applications. Develop features end-to-end for our web applications (Typescript, nodeJS, python etc). Product Management Everyone on the team gets a say in what we build! You will interface directly with customers, come up with new feature ideas and define our product roadmap. Requirements Graduated from a top engineering undergraduate engineering school. Preferred: worked at an early stage startup before or built and scaled your own projects to significant revenue. Must be ready to work in person in Manhattan, New York 5 days per week in person but 6 days per week total. Had built AI agents before with a high degree for reliability (we will ask you to impress us with the clever backend engineering techniques you've used). Understanding of US healthcare/health-tech is a plus.
