About the Role

This is a 2026 Data Scientist Internship at Amazon for Master's students interested in machine learning, deep learning, generative AI, and related fields. The intern will work on building and deploying ML models to drive innovation across the EMEA region, collaborating with scientists and engineers on customer-focused projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with scientists and engineers to develop new algorithms for Amazon problems
• Build and deploy Machine Learning models using large datasets and cloud technology
• Create and deliver ML projects that can scale from local to worldwide
• Define metrics and design algorithms to estimate customer satisfaction and engagement
• Create and share technical papers and presentations for varied audiences

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Enrolled in a Master's degree in computer science, machine learning, engineering, or related fields
• Speak, write, and read fluently in English

Nice to Have:

• Experience in at least one related science discipline (e.g., optimization, statistics, machine learning)
• Experience with data scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g., R, SAS, Matlab)
• Experience with big data processing, filtering, and presenting large quantities of data
• Experience implementing algorithms using both toolkits and self-developed code
