About the Role
The Advanced Cloud Engineer II – Gov Focus is a customer-facing technical role responsible for resolving critical Azure issues for strategic government customers. They drive incident management, provide proactive guidance, and act as the voice of the customer to improve Azure products and support experience.Key Responsibilities
- Track and mitigate customer incidents to reduce resolution time
- Serve as a liaison between product teams and customers throughout engagement lifecycle
- Handle critical escalations and conduct root cause analysis
- Act as the voice of customers to channel product feedback
- Provide periodic on-call support including after-hours
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must Have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Data Analytics/Science, AI, or related field AND 2+ years' experience in technology industry, cloud, technical support, or customer experience engineering OR equivalent experience
- 2+ years experience supporting and troubleshooting enterprise-level, mission-critical applications and infrastructure
- 1+ year experience with on-call and driving mitigation for mission critical incidents
- U.S. citizenship verification required due to government customer support
Nice to Have:
- Ability or willingness to acquire/maintain a US Government Clearance
- Hands-on experience with Azure IaaS (Compute, Storage, Networking, Kubernetes)
- Experience with Azure PaaS services (App Services, Functions, Redis Cache)
- Prior experience working with US Federal/State/Local Governments
