About the Role

Amazon is hiring an AI Content Expert II for a 12-month fixed-term contract to create and annotate high-quality, complex training data for Large Language Models (LLMs). The role involves working with text, image, and video data, making high-judgment decisions, and collaborating with scientists and engineers to improve data quality and tooling.

Key Responsibilities

• Creating and annotating high-quality complex training data in multiple modalities (text, image, video)
• Writing grammatically correct texts in different styles with various degrees of creativity
• Performing audits and quality checks of tasks completed by other specialists
• Making sound judgments and logical decisions when faced with ambiguous or incomplete information
• Identifying and reporting tooling bugs and suggesting improvements

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience
• 2+ years of experience working with written language data, including annotation and data markup
• Strong research skills to gather relevant information, understand complex topics, and synthesize multiple resources
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to focus for long periods

Nice to Have:

• Strong proficiency in English (C1 level in CEFR scale)
• Experience with creating complex data for LLM training and evaluation
• Familiarity with common markup languages such as HTML, XML, Markdown
• Working knowledge of Python or another scripting language
• Familiarity with Large Language Models
