About the Role

Amazon is hiring an AI Content Expert II for a 12-month fixed-term contract to create and annotate complex multimodal training data for improving Large Language Models. The role involves working with scientists and engineers on data quality, tooling improvements, and making high-judgment decisions on ambiguous information. This position requires rotational shift flexibility and strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Creating and annotating high-quality complex training data in multiple modalities (text, image, video)
• Writing grammatically correct texts in different styles with various degrees of creativity
• Performing audits and quality checks of tasks completed by other specialists
• Making sound judgments and logical decisions when faced with ambiguous or incomplete information
• Identifying and reporting tooling bugs and suggesting improvements

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience
• 2+ years of experience working with written language data, including annotation and data markup
• Strong research skills to gather relevant information and understand complex topics
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to focus for long periods

Nice to Have:

• Experience with creating complex data for LLM training and evaluation
• Familiarity with common markup languages such as HTML, XML, Markdown
• Working knowledge of Python or another scripting language
• Familiarity with Large Language Models
