About the Role

Amazon is hiring an AI Content Expert II to create and annotate high-quality training data for improving Large Language Models. The role involves working with text, image, and video data, making judgment calls on complex content, and collaborating with scientists and engineers. This is a fixed contractual position requiring strong writing skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Creating and annotating high-quality complex training data in multiple modalities (text, image, video)
• Writing grammatically correct texts in different styles with various degrees of creativity
• Performing audits and quality checks of tasks completed by other specialists
• Making sound judgments and logical decisions when faced with ambiguous or incomplete information
• Identifying and reporting tooling bugs and suggesting improvements

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience
• 2+ years of experience working with written language data, including annotation and data markup
• Strong research skills to gather relevant information and understand complex topics
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to focus for long periods

Nice to Have:

• Strong proficiency in English (C1 level in CEFR scale)
• Experience with creating complex data for LLM training and evaluation
• Strong understanding of U.S.-based culture, society, and norms
• Familiarity with common markup languages such as HTML, XML, Markdown
• Working knowledge of Python or another scripting language
• Familiarity with Large Language Models
