About the Role

The AI Engineer at AWS Gen AI Innovation Center works with customers to implement generative AI solutions, designing and developing bespoke applications to solve real-world business challenges. This role involves collaborating with scientists, engaging directly with clients, and creating best practices for responsible AI adoption.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with AI/ML scientists and architects to research, design, develop, and evaluate generative AI solutions
• Interact with customers directly to understand business problems and guide implementation of generative AI solutions
• Create and deliver best practice recommendations, tutorials, blog posts, sample code, and presentations
• Provide customer and market feedback to product and engineering teams to help define product direction

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of experience designing, building, and/or operating cloud solutions in production
• 2+ years experience hosting and deploying ML solutions (e.g., training, fine tuning, inference)
• 2+ years hands-on experience with Python to build, train, and evaluate models
• 2+ years of technical client engagement experience
• Ability to communicate in a business setting in English

Nice to Have:

• Masters or PhD degree in computer science or related technical field
• Strong working knowledge of deep learning, machine learning, generative AI, and statistics
• Experience building generative AI applications on AWS using services like Amazon Bedrock and SageMaker
• Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive stakeholders
• Experience building cloud solutions with AWS
