About the Role

The Applied Scientist II role focuses on expanding Amazon's catalog using machine learning to process billions of products. Responsibilities include building scalable ML systems for deduplication, anomaly detection, and knowledge graph solutions. The role requires working with structured/unstructured data using deep learning, NLP, and image processing.

Key Responsibilities

• Build scalable systems for intelligent catalog management using ML/AI-based deduplication and entity resolution
• Develop advanced anomaly detection frameworks to identify data quality issues across large datasets
• Build knowledge graph-based solutions to enhance data relationships and improve data consumption
• Design, develop, evaluate and deploy innovative and highly scalable ML models
• Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large scale model development and maintenance

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• 3+ years of building models for business application experience
• PhD or Master's degree
• Experience in patents or publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
• Experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, or high-performance computing
