About the Role

Amazon is seeking an Applied Scientist II to advance generative AI and foundational models. The role involves developing novel algorithms, impacting customer products, and working with large-scale data and computing resources. You will join a team focused on Agentic AI to solve complex challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop novel algorithms and modeling techniques for generative AI
• Work with speech, text, image, and structured data sources
• Build innovative solutions using Agentic AI to impact customers
• Collaborate with AI/ML practitioners, scientists, and engineers
• Research and advance state-of-the-art in foundational models

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• PhD or Master's degree with 4+ years in CS, CE, ML, or related field
• Experience in patents or publications at top-tier conferences or journals
• Programming experience in Java, C++, Python, or related language
• Experience in algorithms, data structures, parsing, optimization, data mining, parallel computing, or high-performance computing

Nice to Have:

• Experience using Unix/Linux
• Experience in professional software development
