About the Role

Applied Scientist II role developing machine learning solutions for MENA region customers. Focus on creating and deploying ML algorithms to solve real-world problems like catalog quality, machine translation, and fraud prevention. Requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and staying current with ML advancements.

Key Responsibilities

• Invent, implement, and deploy scalable machine learning algorithms and models
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify high-impact innovation areas
• Prototype and test new approaches using LLMs and advanced techniques
• Tackle diverse challenges like catalog quality, machine translation, and abuse prevention
• Stay up-to-date with latest ML advancements and apply them to drive business impact

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Experience building machine learning models or developing algorithms for business application
• Bachelors/PhD/Masters in technical field with 4+ years relevant experience
• Proven track record of designing, implementing, and deploying successful ML solutions
• Expertise in NLP, computer vision, deep learning, or other cutting-edge ML techniques

Nice to Have:

• Proficiency in large language models
• Expertise in NLP (Information retrieval, Machine Translation)
• Experience with Computer Vision
• Knowledge of classification models using Boosting/Bagging or Deep Neural Networks
