About the Role

This role involves developing novel algorithms and modeling techniques in generative AI and foundational models to advance state-of-the-art technology. The Applied Scientist will work on Agentic AI solutions, impacting millions of customers through speech, vision, and language technologies. The position requires strong machine learning expertise and collaboration with AI/ML practitioners and engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop novel algorithms and modeling techniques for generative AI
• Build innovative solutions using Agentic AI to impact customers
• Work with heterogeneous data sources (speech, text, image, structured data)
• Collaborate with AI/ML practitioners, applied scientists, and engineers
• Research and advance state-of-the-art in foundational models

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• PhD or Master's degree with 6+ years of applied research experience
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python, or related language
• Experience with neural deep learning methods
• Experience with machine learning

Nice to Have:

• Experience with modeling tools (R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, Tensorflow, numpy, scipy)
• Experience with large scale distributed systems (Hadoop, Spark)
