About the Role

Amazon is seeking an Applied Scientist to build industry-leading generative AI and foundational models. The role involves developing novel algorithms and modeling techniques to advance state-of-the-art AI, with a focus on Agentic AI solutions that impact millions of customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop novel algorithms and modeling techniques for generative AI
• Work with speech, text, image and structured data sources
• Research and build innovative solutions using Agentic AI
• Build foundational AI services that power cloud computing
• Work backwards from customer needs to create groundbreaking technologies

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• PhD or Master's degree with 6+ years of applied research experience
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
• Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning

Nice to Have:

• Experience with modeling tools such as R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, Tensorflow, numpy, scipy
• Experience with large scale distributed systems such as Hadoop, Spark
