About the Role

This Applied Scientist role focuses on developing novel algorithms and modeling techniques to revolutionize Amazon's hiring process. You'll work on core LLM technologies including prompt engineering, supervised fine-tuning, and evaluation while collaborating with scientists and engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and develop novel algorithms and modeling techniques
• Work on core LLM technologies including Prompt Engineering and Optimization
• Implement Supervised Fine-Tuning and Evaluation of models
• Collaborate with applied scientists, software engineers and research scientists
• Build experimental AI/ML features and tools to transform hiring

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• 3+ years of building models for business application experience
• PhD, or Master's degree and 4+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
• Experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, or high-performance computing

• Experience using Unix/Linux
