About the Role

The Applied Scientist will join the SPX AI Lab to build an AI-powered conversational assistant for Amazon's Selling Partners. They will use state-of-the-art Machine Learning and Generative AI to create innovative models that solve real business problems and enhance the seller experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Use state-of-the-art Machine Learning and Generative AI to create tools for Selling Partners
• Design, develop, and deploy innovative models to interact with and delight Sellers
• Work with teams to drive real-time model implementations and deliver impactful features
• Establish scalable processes for data analysis, model benchmarking, validation, and implementation
• Research and implement novel machine learning and statistical approaches

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• PhD, or Master's degree and 4+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience
• 3+ years of building machine learning models or developing algorithms for business application experience
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
• Experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, or high-performance computing

Nice to Have:

• Experience in patents or publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals
• Experience in investigating, designing, prototyping, and delivering new and innovative system solutions
• Experience in developing Generative AI applications
