About the Role

As an Applied Scientist in Workforce Intelligence, you'll reinvent Amazon's hiring process using AI and machine learning to deliver scale, sophistication, and accuracy in talent acquisition. You'll work on state-of-the-art research, advanced software tools, and new AI systems to solve complex hiring problems and make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reinvent the hiring process to deliver unprecedented scale, sophistication, and accuracy
  • Work on state-of-the-art research, advanced software tools, and new AI systems
  • Develop machine learning algorithms leveraging Amazon's in-house tech stack
  • Transform the hiring landscape using technology to solve tough hiring problems
  • Help Amazon hire the right quantity of workers at the right location and time

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

  • 3+ years of building models for business application experience
  • PhD, or Master's degree and 4+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience
  • Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
  • Experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, or high-performance computing

Nice to Have:

  • Experience using Unix/Linux
  • Experience in professional software development
