About the Role
As an Applied Scientist in Workforce Intelligence, you'll reinvent Amazon's hiring process using AI and machine learning to deliver scale, sophistication, and fairness in talent acquisition. You'll work on state-of-the-art research, advanced software tools, and machine learning algorithms to solve complex hiring problems.Key Responsibilities
- Reinvent the hiring process for Amazon Talent Acquisition operations
- Work on state-of-the-art research and advanced software tools
- Develop new AI systems and machine learning algorithms
- Leverage Amazon's in-house tech stack to bring innovative solutions to life

Required Skills & Qualifications
Must Have:
- 3+ years of building models for business application experience
- PhD, or Master's degree and 4+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience
- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
- Experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, or high-performance computing
Nice to Have:
- Experience using Unix/Linux
- Experience in professional software development
