About the Role

The Associate Solutions Architect role at AWS involves providing technical guidance and architectural solutions to customers in Hong Kong, helping them build secure, scalable applications on AWS cloud. You'll serve as a trusted technical advisor, influence decision-makers, and collaborate with business development teams to drive successful cloud adoption and digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as technical owner for Business Development team, ensuring customer success in building secure, scalable applications on AWS
• Provide technical and architectural guidance to digital native companies and develop cost optimization strategies
• Influence customer C-levels and decision makers through technology briefings and roadmap discussions
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to align resources for successful production launches
• Conduct workshops and training sessions for AWS customers at key marketing events

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Minimum 2 years in large-scale system architecture design or complex IT solution application development
• Knowledge of latest technology trends in open-source, distributed databases, containers, devops, real-time analytics, or Generative AI
• In-depth working knowledge in one or more technology domains (web/mobile apps, DevOps, Serverless, Big Data, Analytics, ML, databases, GenAI)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English/Cantonese with presentation skills for IT professionals and executives

Nice to Have:

• Experience designing, building, refactoring or operating large-scale IT projects on premises or in cloud
• Working knowledge of software development practices and cloud native architectures
• Ability to create technical content/sample codes that can be easily adopted and reused
• Experience in customer-facing roles or roles dealing with multiple stakeholders
