About the Role

The Assurance Consultant role at AWS Security Assurance Services helps enterprise customers migrate securely to the cloud by addressing governance, risk, and compliance requirements. This customer-facing position involves delivering security assurance solutions, translating compliance needs into scalable cloud implementations, and working with teams to automate compliance in AWS environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver expertise in security assurance and compliance programs
• Define innovative compliance and risk management approaches for customers
• Resolve security assurance questions through deep dives and demonstrations
• Convey customer feedback to AWS engineering and business teams
• Travel to customer sites as needed

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• 3+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience
• Knowledge of primary AWS services (EC2, ELB, RDS, Route53, S3)
• Experience implementing AWS services in distributed computing environments

Nice to Have:

• 5+ years of IT implementation experience
• Knowledge of AWS services across compute, storage, networking, security, databases, ML, and serverless
• Knowledge of security and compliance standards like HIPAA and GDPR
• Experience in cloud computing design and implementation
• Experience leading software design/deployment at scale or hands-on infrastructure experience
• Experience in cloud performance optimization and cost management
• Experience presenting technical solutions in pre-sales environments
