About the Role
This role involves developing cutting-edge audio software for consumer products and devices at Meta. The engineer will collaborate across disciplines, write clean code, and solve complex problems in virtual and augmented reality environments. It requires expertise in audio signal processing and software development in C/C++.Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate across scientific and engineering disciplines to deliver software solutions
- Create clean readable code and debug complex problems efficiently
- Learn constantly and dive into new areas with unfamiliar technologies
- Develop audio software for a variety of consumer products and devices
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years software development experience in industry settings or PhD with 2+ years of experience
- 3+ years relevant audio software engineering experience in industry settings
- C or C++ experience, including use of C++11/14/17 features
- Communication experience and demonstrated experience working across disciplines to drive optimal solutions
Nice to Have:
- Expertise in audio signal processing and auditory perception, both classical and machine learned techniques
- Proven track record of innovation as demonstrated by products shipped, publications and/or patents
- Experience with GenAI
- Experience with audio stack including codecs, audio capture/render, and network compensation/jitter buffer
