About the Role

This is a 48-month Automation Engineering Apprentice role at Amazon, focusing on maintaining and troubleshooting advanced robotics and automated systems within fulfillment centers. Apprentices will gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge automation technology while working towards a Level 6 apprenticeship and a BSc in Controls and Automation Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting maintenance and fault-finding on automated systems and robotics
• Using diagnostic tools to keep conveyors and sortation equipment running smoothly
• Planning preventative maintenance and safety checks
• Collaborating with engineers to develop new process improvements and energy-efficient solutions

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Be 18 years or over before the start date (September 2026)
• Have the right to live and work in England for the entire programme duration
• Have lived in the UK or EEA for the last 3 years and be a UK resident for the programme
• Have at least 5 GCSEs grade 4 or above including Maths and English
• Have three A levels grade 4 or above in Mathematics, IT, Physics, or Engineering, OR a BTEC level 3 engineering qualification with further mathematics

Nice to Have:

• Maintenance or Engineering HNC/D qualification with a PLC, automation, electronics, or electrical bias
