About the Role

nsave is seeking a Backend Engineer to build robust, scalable, and secure financial infrastructure for underserved communities. The role involves designing core systems, ensuring reliability and compliance, and working with a tech stack including NestJS and AWS. This is an on-site position in London, UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and own core infrastructure subsystems
• Proactively improve system health and compliance
• Ensure user-facing financial systems are high-throughput and low-latency
• Balance rapid product iteration with operational stability
• Champion a user-centered approach to infrastructure

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Broad platform & infrastructure expertise (backend architecture, databases, SRE, IaC, CI/CD)
• Strong software engineering fundamentals (clean abstractions, scalability, trade-offs)
• Security-first mindset with experience in financial-grade systems
• Collaborative and supportive approach to team productivity

Nice to Have:

• Regulated environment experience (fintech or similar domains)
• Familiarity with NestJS, TypeScript, AWS, Docker, Kafka
