About the Role

The Business Data Scientist will develop data-driven insights and solutions for supply chain challenges using data science and machine learning. They will work on customer-facing projects, translate business needs into actionable insights, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The role requires analyzing data, building models, and presenting findings to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop expertise in AI/ML capabilities to translate customer business needs into actionable insights
• Support customers in defining and implementing value metrics and KPIs to demonstrate business success
• Evaluate and measure models' outputs to ensure client requirements are met and drive continuous value
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams of Data Scientists, engineers, and customer business teams on machine learning projects
• Present findings and results to customers and internal stakeholders

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, statistics, mathematics, data science or related field
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in data science, data analytics, machine learning and/or mathematical modeling
• Proficiency in analyzing and validating data, machine learning models or statistics using Python, Spark, SQL
• Ability to understand customers' businesses and supply chain needs to design solutions that drive business value
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation and client relationship building skills

Nice to Have:

• RapidResponse authoring (training provided)
• Hands-on experience with relational databases and cloud environments
• Knowledge of supply chain planning or management processes in Kinaxis markets
• Client facing experience in a consulting or analyst role
• Working knowledge of Machine learning stack such as Kubernetes, Docker, Jupyter, Kafka
