About the Role

The Data Analytics Engineer will work with NAVAIR's Digital Department to identify, acquire, process, and analyze diverse data sources for mission-critical projects. They will collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to create foundational data assets and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with data engineers & developers to acquire, process, and format data for analytical products
• Collaborate with data analysts & data scientists to prepare diverse data sources for analytics work
• Liaise with business stakeholders to understand needs and translate requirements to data sources
• Develop documentation for data sources and pipelines (data dictionaries, flow models)
• Work across technical and operational customers on high-visibility projects

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Bachelor's degree in information technology related field
• Three years of related experience
• Thorough working knowledge of at least two analytical programming languages (R, Python, Scala, SQL)
• Working knowledge of Git version control
• Basic working knowledge of at least one BI/visualization tool (Qlik, Tableau, Power BI)
• Security+ certification
• Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher
• Must pass background investigation

Nice to Have:

• Master's degree preferred
• Experience working with Cybersecurity/RMF
• Knowledge of advanced analytics principals (statistical modeling, machine learning, AI)
• Experience building/maintaining/automating dashboards
• Military background
