About the Role

AWS is seeking a Data Center Civil Engineer to lead site civil engineering designs for Amazon Data Centers. The role involves managing external design consultants, reviewing designs for site layout and infrastructure, and developing design standards for data center campuses. This position requires travel and collaboration with internal and external engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage external civil design consultants through design and construction process
• Review designs for site layout, grading, utilities, storm water, and infrastructure
• Develop and maintain design standards and specifications for data center sites
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners including MEP engineers and architects
• Lead initiatives to improve cost, quality, schedule, and consistency

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Professional Engineering License or plan to achieve within 12 months
• 7+ years professional experience in commercial/warehouse/industrial site-civil design

Nice to Have:

• 2+ years experience in civil design for Data Centers or Mission Critical facilities
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite software
• Professional experience demonstrating Amazon's Leadership Principles
