About the Role
The Data Center Controls Engineer is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and managing building management systems (BMS) and electrical power monitoring systems (EPMS) in AWS data centers. This role involves project management, technical support, and developing controls solutions while ensuring compliance with standards and codes.Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and perform Root Cause Analysis for BMS and EPMS issues
- Develop BMS & EPMS project scope, schedule, budget, and manage execution
- Manage BMS and EPMS service contracts and vendor work
- Review and implement controls sequence of operation and modify controls logic programming
- Participate in global on-call schedule to provide immediate technical support
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Experience carrying new design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment
- Experience with MS Excel, Word, and Windows Operating Systems
- Experience with power management and power monitoring systems
Nice to Have:
- 5+ years project management in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure
- Knowledge of critical data center equipment and engineering documentation
- Experience in Data Center Engineering Operations with deep understanding of electrical/mechanical infrastructure
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations (Life Safety, NFPA, NEC, OSHA)
