About the Role

This role involves troubleshooting, project management, and maintaining building management and electrical power monitoring systems in AWS data centers. The engineer will develop processes, innovate in controls, and support operations throughout the data center lifecycle. Responsibilities include managing projects, providing technical support, and ensuring compliance with standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis for BMS and EPMS issues
  • Develop and manage BMS and EPMS project scope, schedule, and budget
  • Provide technical assistance and support to data center operations
  • Review and implement controls sequences of operation and programming
  • Manage service contracts and supervise vendor work for compliance

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

  • B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering with 3+ years controls experience, or Associates with 5 years, or High School with 8 years
  • Experience with industrial controls in critical environments (e.g., data center, manufacturing, power)
  • Minimum 2 years in controls or electrical construction project coordination with multiple teams/vendors

Nice to Have:

  • M.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering degree
  • Experience designing, configuring, programming, or servicing HVAC Controls and Electrical SCADA systems
  • TCP/IP, MQTT, BACnet, and/or MODBUS communication protocol experience
  • Experience with management of change
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software
